Ryan HalleranJD, CAP®
Co-Founder · Advanced Planning
Ryan Halleran brings extensive experience in advanced wealth planning, business transitions, estate strategy, and succession considerations to GenSphere. His perspective centers on understanding how significant financial decisions intersect and what those decisions may make possible or limit over time.
The right structure preserves possibilities long after the documents are signed.
Ryan began his advisory career at Wells Fargo before joining UBS. He later helped establish an independent wealth management firm, where he led advanced planning. At D.A. Davidson, Ryan served as SVP, Director of Private Wealth, working alongside Patrick Fletcher and Paulina Hazen to build and lead the firm’s private wealth program nationwide. Through this work, he gained practical experience across a wide range of complex client situations, from business transactions and liquidity events to multigenerational wealth planning. That breadth of experience informs how he evaluates not only the technical aspects of a strategy, but also the challenges and tradeoffs involved in putting it into practice.
Ryan holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.
At GenSphere, Ryan focuses on the relationships between business ownership, estate and tax planning, family priorities, and succession. He walks families through the important tradeoffs and their consequences before decisions become difficult to reverse. He works alongside each family’s CPA and attorney.
